How much does the Copenhagen Card cost?
The Copenhagen Card is available for adults and children (10-15 years). You can buy it online or on site at a point of sale.

You can buy the Copenhagen Card for a specific date via the German-language GetYourGuide website . The prices are in euros and may vary depending on the exchange rate. A big advantage is that you can cancel your purchase free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.

Unfortunately, the official website is only available in Danish or English, and it is not possible to cancel free of charge. However, the Copenhagen Card is also available digitally for smartphones.
If you want a real card, you will initially only receive a voucher, which must be exchanged for a physical card at one of the four points of sale mentioned above. Alternatively, you can have the card sent to you by post, but this can take a long time (up to 6 weeks). The postage costs 8 euros.

Example 1: Users of local public transport
An outstanding feature of the Copenhagen Card is the generous use of public transport throughout the Copenhagen region. If you are traveling to Copenhagen by plane, you can save money on transfers to and from the airport. If you can take advantage of this potential, buying the Copenhagen Card is usually well worthwhile, especially with cards for several days.
- 24 h with Tivoli and canal cruise. The Copenhagen Card is 9 euros more expensive than the regular price with a ticket for local transport (for one adult).
- 48 h with Tivoli, canal cruise, Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Castle. The Copenhagen Card is 21 euros cheaper than the regular price with public transport ticket (for one adult).
- 72 hours with Tivoli, canal cruise, Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg Castle, the zoo and the National Museum The Copenhagen Card is 61 euros cheaper than the regular price with public transport ticket (for one adult).
- 120 hours with all the top 10 attractions mentioned above. The Copenhagen Card is 120 euros cheaper than the regular price with public transport ticket (for one adult).
Example 2: Families with children
The Copenhagen Card offers enormous savings potential, especially for families with children.
- 72 hours with Tivoli, canal cruise, zoo, aquarium, experimentarium and Guinness Book of Records Museum, calculated for two adults and two children (7 + 12 years old). The Copenhagen Card is an incredible 463 euros cheaper than the regular price with a ticket for local public transport. If you don't use the ticket, you still save a whopping 313 euros.
Conclusion - you can definitely save money
- The Copenhagen Card is often not worthwhile for one day. However, the price per day drops significantly for cards with a longer validity period. This is why the version with a validity of 3 days or 72 hours is the most popular card.
