Gabon is a central African country located on the Atlantic coast and bordered by Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Congo and the Gulf of Guinea. The country is best known for its large nature reserves, such as Loango and Lopé National Parks, which are home to diverse wildlife. Gabon is rich in oil resources and has been ruled by the Bongo family since 1967. The capital is Libreville.
