The Central European Republic of Poland is located on the Baltic Sea and borders a total of seven countries, including Germany, Slovakia and Ukraine. With more than 9000 water bodies, whose area is over one hectare, Poland is one of the countries with the most lakes in the world. The capital of Poland is Warsaw: The metropolis is one of the most important traffic, economic and trade centers in Central and Eastern Europe. The Old Town, which has been officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is particularly worth seeing. With the Castle Square, the Sigismund Column and the Historical Museum, there is much to discover here. Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan, Szczecin and Wroclaw are also culturally and historically interesting.
