Idaho is a state in the northwestern United States, bordering the states of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Montana, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Idaho's capital is Boise. The state is known for its impressive nature with dense forests, majestic mountains, deep canyons and rushing rivers. Idaho is also known as the "Gem State" because of the many different gemstones that can be found here. Agriculture, mining, and the timber industry dominate the state's economy. Attractions include Craters of the Moon National Monument, Shoshone Falls and Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
