Ko Libong is one of Thailand's medium-sized islands, but it is home to only about 6,000 people living in three villages. Ko Libong is known for its natural beaches and unique flora and fauna. Here you can experience the much praised Thai hospitality and enjoy a vacation far away from mass tourism.
The island owes its name to the manatee species of the Dudongs; with a little luck you may encounter one of these animals during one of your snorkeling trips. In front of the island lives a colony of about 130 of the animals. So you should not miss to join a dugong spotting tour.
The interior of the island is also quite interesting: a tour through the jungle to the northwest of the island is recommended; here there are even mountains more than 300 meters high.
