Located about halfway between Split and Dubrovnik, Korčula is the sixth largest island in the Adriatic and the most densely populated of all Croatian islands. Korčula has always been one of the most popular vacation islands in the country. Perfect sailing conditions, picturesque bathing beaches, a lot of untouched nature and excellent infrastructure contribute a lot to the popularity of the island. Above all, the beauty of the main town of the same name attracts thousands of tourists every year. Because of its beautiful location on a small peninsula, its impressive city walls and its numerous historical buildings, Korčula is often called "Little Dubrovnik". Incidentally, the birthplace of the legendary explorer Marco Polo can also be visited here.
