Pantheon

The Panthéon, the French national hall of fame, was built between 1764 and 1790. Here lie buried great minds such as Voltaire, Emile Zola, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie Curie, Jean Moulin and Jean Jaurès. It was also here that the Foucault pendulum of the physicist Jean Bernard León Foucault, which proved the rotation of the earth, was used for the first time.
