Parc Phoenix

A garden of superlatives

The botanical garden complex "Parc de Phoenix" in Nice is one of the five best known and most popular destinations on the Côte d'Azur. The park, which covers over 7 hectares, is located at the southern end of the Promenade des Anglais, directly opposite the airport, and is home to 20 different themed gardens.

The inhabitants of Nice appreciate the nature park as a place of relaxation. They enjoy little breaks from the otherwise rather noisy, hectic city. The view of the azure sea, which lies directly opposite the park, does the rest. You can only feel good here!

A nature and adventure park for the whole family

Tourists are thrilled by the breathtaking flora and fauna that opens up before the human eye during a visit to Parc de Phoenix: Exotic plant species and tropical animal species grow and live here. Colorful parrots and butterflies fly over the heads of visitors. Lemurs and iguanas bask under the midday sun, on large tree ferns that criss-cross the park, and the chirping of birds sounds from everywhere. Wild orchids give off a delightfully sweet scent and sprawling lawns invite you to enjoy a relaxing picnic with friends or family.

Snow-white swans and impressive pelicans swim on a large pond, and behind them towers the elegant façade of the Musée des Arts Asiatiques, a modern white marble structure by Japanese architect Kenzō Tange. Lovingly designed playgrounds provide the right entertainment for the youngest park visitors. A park of the senses!

The Green Diamond - an impressive greenhouse

The centrepiece of the gigantic park complex of superlatives is the "Green Diamond", or "Diamant Vert" in French. This is a glass greenhouse of more than 7,000 m² that towers 25 metres above the trees of the park. With this size, it is certainly not surprising that the greenhouse is one of the tallest glass structures in Europe. Inside the glasshouse, some 2,500 exotic plant species grow in six different climate zones. Visitors wander past rare plant varieties from the tropics to the subtropics.

When will you cross the impressive Parc de Phoenic de Nice and experience a unique trip around the world? This will take you past the Sahara, tropical rainforests, Southeast Asian swamps and picturesque Mediterranean landscapes. And to round off the trip, you'll land on the island of bygone times and be able to marvel at million-year-old fossils up close.

A gigantic park complex in the centre of Nice

The large garden complex of the Parc Phoenix de Nice was opened in the spring of 1990 and is now one of the most popular tourist attractions on the Côte d'Azur, attracting around 260,000 visitors a year. The impressive Phoenix Park is located in the western city centre of Nice and can be easily reached on foot. The adventure and nature park is located on the waterfront promenade of the Anglais, directly opposite the beautiful city beach and provides a picturesque panoramic view of the French Mediterranean Sea. Exciting special exhibitions on a wide variety of nature themes are regularly held on the park grounds. A visit is worthwhile!
