Paredes

Paredes de Coura is located in the north of Portugal, close to the border with Galicia, Spain. The municipality includes several small towns and villages, such as Vila Nova de Cerveira, Valença and Ponte da Barca. The area around Paredes de Coura is known for its picturesque landscapes and its many tourist attractions. The municipality is home to a number of historical monuments, such as the castle of Ponte de Lima, the churches of São Lourenço de Cerveira and Santa Maria de Neiva and the monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova. Paredes de Coura also hosts a number of festivals and events, such as the Paredes de Coura Festival, the Vila Nova de Cerveira Art Festival and the Valença International Music Festival.
