Andros
The northernmost and second largest island of the Cyclades is Andros. Despite its population of about 10,000, it is not as heavily visited by tourists as some of the other islands in the area. And this, although here so many things are different. Among other things, the vegetation is more lush and the places are very well maintained and "dressed up". This is primarily due to the wealth of the shipowning families who are at home on this island and ensure that nothing falls into disrepair here. As a tourist, you have the opportunity to go on numerous hikes or take advantage of one of the many water sports on offer.
The ferry port on the island of Andros offers connections to the other Greek islands of Paros, Tinos, Kea, Euboea, Mykonos, Kythnos, Syros and Naxos, as well as to the ports of Rafina and Lavrio on the Greek mainland. Kythnos
The island with its capital of the same name is with 100 km² comparable in size to the North Frisian island of Sylt. You reach Kythnos as your vacation destination in the region of the Southern Aegean Sea. Together with the islands of Kea, Serifos and Sifnos, Kythnos forms the island chain of the Cyclades. On Kythnos you will find both rural seclusion and tourist activities. You can bathe and swim at five dozen beaches - or take a detour to the thermal and iron springs that run right through the island town of Loutra. In the village of Kanala in the south of the island, you should visit the Greek Orthodox pilgrimage church.
