The shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci connects ports in Sardinia, Sicily, Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Albania and France. In order to transport goods cheaply and quickly by sea and thus create an alternative to road transport, the company is involved in the development and expansion of freeways of the sea. This is intended to counteract the growing volume of traffic and relieve the burden on the environment.

GNV offers a wide range of services for passengers on board the large, modern ferries. These include the various accommodation options. There are simple deck seats and reclining chairs on all ships. Those who want to travel more comfortably can choose between well-equipped standard cabins and high-quality suites. In addition, GNV offers exclusive packages that include not only the crossing but also discounted hotel accommodations at the destination.

For meals on the ferries, travelers can choose from well-kept à la carte restaurants offering typical Mediterranean cuisine and a wide selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts. Onboard staff serve cocktails and appetizers at the seat. In addition, there are self-service restaurants, snack bars and pizzerias. For entertainment, a fee-based Wi-Fi service is provided in the common areas. Gaming casinos with slot machines and video games, as well as a variety of shopping options, are also part of the recreational offerings.

Shopping centers offer personal care products, newspapers, snacks, books, cigarettes and souvenirs, as well as toys, clothing and children's items. On the routes that do not belong to the EU, there are duty-free stores where spirits, tobacco products and perfumes are particularly cheap. Children are well taken care of in segregated, very well-equipped children's areas on GNV ferries. In addition, the youngest passengers travel free of charge on the routes to Morocco and Tunisia until the age of 2 and 4, respectively.
