The Méridionale Company calls itself a historic shipping company, as it has been operating regular ferry services with its passenger and freight ferries since the early 1930s. This makes it the oldest ferry line serving Corsica. Nowadays, the La Méridionale ships move on circular routes between Marseille and the destination ports on Corsica and Sardinia. The blue and white large ferries of the shipping company sail under the French flag.

La Méridionale offers night crossings throughout the year. The journey time varies between 12 and 15 hours, depending on the selected connection. On the spacious ferries, guests have access to beautiful salons with a view of the sea and comfortable cabins of various categories. A fine cuisine and a wide range of entertainment also await passengers on board the La Méridionale line.

The restaurants offer international cuisine as well as many traditional dishes. In addition, each ship is equipped with cocktail bars, a free cinema and a separate play area for children. Those who wish can not only book a cabin for the crossing, but also take advantage of the half-board offer. This includes dinner in the restaurant and a large breakfast before arrival the next morning.

The excellent passenger care and service set La Méridionale apart from other ferry lines. The shipping company therefore also promotes the crossings as relaxing cruises. The ships are considered safe and reliable. The shipping company has been awarded the "Charte Bleue" for environmental protection. This states that electricity is used in port to reduce emissions. In addition, the ship switches to a less polluting fuel when entering the port and maintains a maximum speed of 10 knots when entering and leaving the port of Marseille.
