The European Quarter

A recommended point on the list for sightseeing in Brussels is the European Quarter. This is the district where the main institutions of the European Union are located. For example, it is home to the Berlaymont building, which was built in the 1960s and serves as the headquarters of the European Union. In addition, the Brussels European Quarter is home to the European Parliament and the Europe Building. The latter building is the seat of the Council of the European Union.

The Place du Luxembourg, which is located directly in front of the European Parliament, is a good place to take a break during your walk through the European Quarter. Here you can choose from various cafés and restaurants.
