Yellowstone is the oldest and one of the most famous national parks in the USA. It extends over the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho and covers an area of almost 9,000 square kilometers. The park was founded in 1872, making it the first national park in the world. UNESCO has recognized it as a World Heritage Site for its extraordinary natural phenomena and diverse flora and fauna.

Yellowstone is especially known for its geothermal activity, which accounts for about half of all geysers and hot springs in the world. The main attraction is Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts regularly every 60 to 90 minutes, spewing up to 32,000 liters of water into the air. Other notable geothermal phenomena include Grand Prismatic Spring, the largest hot spring in the U.S., and Mammoth Hot Springs, an impressive limestone formation.

In addition to the geothermal wonders, Yellowstone National Park offers impressive wildlife. Grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk and many other species live in the park's pristine wilderness. Visitors have the opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat and experience the beauty of North American flora and fauna.

The park's scenic diversity is also a major draw. From the stunning waterfalls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to dense forests and vast prairies, the park offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, boating and wildlife viewing.
