Cagliari

Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia and is located on the south coast of the Italian island. The city is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, in particular the imposing Citadel of Museums (Cittadella dei Musei) and the Castello district, which towers on a hill above the city. Another highlight is the Cathedral of Cagliari, a mixture of Gothic, Baroque and Pisan style elements. The city also offers unique natural experiences such as the Molentargius-Saline Regional Park, which is known for its flamingo colonies. Poetto beach, one of the longest in the region, attracts locals and tourists alike.
