City library and Kungsparken

The Malmö City Library was opened in 1905 and consists of three building wings. The old library and the modern extension are connected by a building called the cylinder. The transparent light calendar stands in charming contrast to the adjacent old library. The glass wing is impressively illuminated after dark. Here you can browse through half a million books and consume a large number of electronic media. A visit is worthwhile for the unique architecture alone and the charming location in the over 8-hectare city park Kungsparken. In addition to the public library, the old Malmö city park has a charming fountain and a quaint grotto.
