Mississauga

The city with over 720,000 inhabitants is named after the Indian tribe of the same name; the area around today's city was bought from them at the beginning of the 19th century. Memorable showplaces include the Central Library, the expansive Celebration Square and Missiauga Valley Park. As a civic center, the approximately 300,000 m² square offers extensive park and garden areas, an amphitheater and event spaces ranging from an ice rink to a concert stage. In the city center, you will find several hundred stores, stores, restaurants and an IMAX cinema center in the Square One Shopping Centre with 150,000 m² of retail space.
