Musée d'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay is another must-see during a visit to Paris. In the former train station, you can marvel at mainly French masterpieces removed from the Louvre, such as "Breakfast in the Green" by Manet, "Bal du Moulin de la Galette" by Renoir, "Apples and Oranges" by Cézanne, but also "Whistler's Mother" by van Gogh. The architecture of the converted train station building is also inspiring. If you only have a few hours, you can concentrate on the Impressionist exhibition, but the busts, sculptures, graphics, handicrafts and photographs on display over 16,000 square meters are also worthwhile. In between, also for the view, you should take a little time out in the self-service café on the top floor.
