Luxury in perfection: Via dei Condotti
Turn into Via dei Condotti at the Spanish Steps and you'll find luxury labels. Starting off is the fashion house Fendi, followed by Max Mara, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Bulgari and Gucci to name a few. All the great fashion designers will do the honours on the approximately 600-metre-long route.
Lively Rome at the Campo de Fiori
For those who like it less luxurious, the area around the Campo dei Fiori is the right place. This is where one of Rome's most popular markets takes place and where Romans shop for their fresh fruit and vegetables. A variety of small boutiques offering individual fashions have set up shop here. Even with a slimmer travel budget, you might be able to snag a chic unique piece or two in the shops. Numerous bars, restaurants and cafés round off the flair of the lively square.
Bustle at the Sunday flea market
You will find very individual and original pieces at the Mercato delle Pulci flea market at Porta Portese in the Trastevere district. On Sundays between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., everything imaginable is on sale. Caution: Be warned of thieves!
