Zoological Museum

The Zoological Museum in Copenhagen (zoologisk museum) features permanent and temporary exhibitions on the earth's animal kingdom, evolution and natural history.

Parts of the extensive collection with about 10 million animal species still go back to the art chamber of the Danish scholar Olaus Wormius (1588-1654). His Museum Wormianum was the first museum in Denmark.

The Zoological Museum is part of the Natural History Museum of Denmark at the University of Copenhagen. It also includes the Geological Museum and the Botanical Garden in Copenhagen.
