Anyone coming to Szczecin simply has to follow the "red thread" that runs through the city for seven kilometers. What is the red thread? A marker on the footpath. It naturally leads to the most important sights: the Town Hall Square, the King's Gate, the Berlin Gate, the Castle of the Pomeranian Princes with its beautifully restored clock and then to the Hakenterrasse, from where you can enjoy a view over the Oder. The nice thing about this red thread is that there are information boards for every sight that tell you a little about the history of the city. So you can travel around Szczecin completely unprepared.
