Maritiman

Maritime museum with real ships
The unique collection of the "floating museum" Maritiman consists of about 20 civilian and military ships and boats, which may not only be visited, but also explored from the inside.

The Maritiman is a maritime museum of an extraordinary kind. It consists of about twenty different ships moored in the harbor at Packhuskajen.

The mix of military and civilian ships (from a destroyer to tugs and a lightship, as well as a fireboat and a submarine) is a fascinating and lively museum where life on board is recreated with mannequins and exhibitions. Engine rooms, galleys and cabins can be visited. Those who are limber and do not suffer from claustrophobia can also visit the submarine.

The audio guide (also in German), which can be downloaded to a smartphone free of charge, is recommended.
