City Park Slottsskogen
Park with large adventure playground
The park gets its name Castle Forest from the fact that it was laid out like a forest and for several hundred years belonged to Älvsborg Castle, which is a few kilometres away. This 137-hectare park is popular for jogging or picnics. There are also moose and seal feedings to see here, and every August since 2007 it has hosted Way Out West, a music festival and one of Sweden's largest festivals. The large adventure playground Plikta makes children's hearts beat faster, as does the animal park.
